An album by a band called ‘Future of the Left’ was released on June 22 of 2009. And of its 12 track lists, the song entitled ‘Arming Eritrea,’ a 2:57 minutes, song brought fame and accolades to members of ‘Future of the Left’ band groups. Staring from the title of the album—Travel with Myself and Another—started getting overwhelming representation in different music scoring entities.

Under the auspice of All Media Network LLC, Allmusic rated ‘Arming Eritrea’ 9 out of 10, one of the highest rating score in its own chronicles. The Chicago based online music magazine—Pitchfork— also acclaimed ‘Arming Eritrea’ as one of its 100 top lists of the year of 2009. After Pitchfork collapsed the wall for nominating other tracks from the then new released album by ‘Future of the Left,’ others also rushed in picking the ‘Arming Eritrea’ entitled song.

The New Musical Express (NME) of the British musical journalism magazine continued choosing ‘Arming Eritrea’ from the rest tracks of the album and listed it as one of the best 50-tracks of 2009. Driven by its influential role as radio platform in the internet, Dandelion Radio awarded ‘Arming Eritrea’ as its best 50 chosen tracks of the rock lists for the year of 2009. In its substitution to the BBC Radio 1 annual festive for remembering and celebrating the legacies of the renowned British Disk Jockey (DJ), John Peel,’ ‘Arming Eritrea’ shelved in the database for being one of the fifty best picks by the listeners.

In fact, in the ‘Travel with Myself and Another’ entitled album, there are other various tracks of post-hardcore and noise rock genres, including ‘The Hope That House Built,’ ‘I Am Civil Service,’ ‘Land of My Formers’ and 'You Need Satan More Than He Needs You.’ But driven by ‘Arming Eritrea,’ Time Out from Sydney, the Fly from United Kingdom, SPIN from United States of America, Drowned in Sound and others rated as one of the commendable albums of the year.
