Some people might look at Bernie Sanders and think he's a pacifist Left-winger -- and a kindly old man, who was badly shafted by the Democratic establishment. But the numbers tell quite a different story, the numbers in this case being the large amount of donations paid out to the Jewish senator from Vermont by the US arms industry.
Data collected by Open Secrets, an organisation dedicated to keeping tabs on the US political elites, found that, in the year 2016, Sanders was the biggest recipient of "war whore" big bucks from the military industrial complex, getting a whopping $348,171.
This was even ahead of other better known war hawks like Ted Cruz, "Mad Dog" McCain, and Chuck Schumer, all more obvious shills for the US getting involved in pointless wars overseas.
Obviously, the arms industry appreciates the "moral value" of a man like Sanders, and luckily for them Sanders is in the market to sell, as we all know the US system works strictly on the "pay to play" principle.
