LEICESTER BLAST: POLICE, MEDIA COVER UP MUSLIM INVOLVEMENT
When a shop with a house above it suddenly exploded on Wednesday 26th of February, killing five, we all tried really, really hard not to jump to conclusions.
It now seems we needn't have bothered. As reported by the Guardian:
"Three men have been charged in connection with a blast that killed five people in Leicester. Arkan Ali, 37, Hawkar Hassan, 32, and Aram Kurd, 33, have been charged with manslaughter and arson with intent to endanger life over the explosion on Sunday...The police said they were detained on suspicion of conspiracy to cause an explosion and for offences under the Proceeds of Crime Act."
All three men have obvious Muslim names, which is hardly a surprise in a city that is already around 20% Muslim. What is surprising, however, is the massive police and media cover-up surrounding this case.
After the explosion happened on the 26th, most media sources simply reported the bare facts, without any kind of speculation as to the causes. There was certainly no suggestion anywhere that it might possibly have been a terrorist or Muslim incident, even though Muslim terrorists are known to "occasionally" blow things up.
Two days later on the 28th, the police arrested the three Muslim men, including the owner of the shop, but somehow, despite the fact that this story was still hot news, this little detail went unreported. In fact, it is probably more accurate to say because the story was still hot news, this detail went unreported.
It was only today (Sunday, 4th of February), that the media dared mention this fact, and then only in dull, back page stories.
Another odd point is that the men have not been charged with actual terrorist offences, even though there was an enormous blast, five people are dead, and the charges mention "conspiracy to cause an explosion."
Also, the mainstream media has been especially reluctant to speculate about this case, but now suddenly they are in speculative overdrive in order to stop the public associating this deadly incident with Muslims or terrorism.
In fact the mainstream media is now floating the balloon that the blast was caused by some sort of illegal distillery explosion, digging up a seven-year-old story about Lithuanian bootleggers, even though there is no hard information to base this on yet:
"The incident on Hinckley Road, which demolished a shop and the two-storey flat above, follows an explosion in Boston, Lincolnshire, in 2011 that killed five Lithuanian men and was caused by an illegal vodka factory. Leicestershire police refused to comment on media reports claiming the Hinckley Road explosion may have been caused by an illegal alcohol distillery."
Just one thing to add here. Even if the explosion were caused by a moonshine operation for migrant Eastern European workers -- unlikely as the suspects are Muslims -- how does this prove that multiculturalism is a good thing?
