Continuing Economic Sabotage Against Eritrea

By Thomas C. Mountain

As of March 28 no international wire financial transfers can be sent from or to Eritrea. This is due to US sanctions on Russian banks and the EU has bowed to these sanctions and blocked Eritrea from using Russian banks to send and receive funds via wire transfers.

During the Unjust and Illegal UN Sanctions period against Eritrea all Eritrean government banks accounts in the USA were closed forcing Eritrea to rely on its only friend in this matter, Russia, to transfer funds via wire transfer, though only in Euros.

Now even this option is closed and the economic sabotage of Eritrea continues. Who says you can trust the USA? Why are they continuing to sabotage our economy when we have done nothing wrong, exactly the opposite, are playing a critical role in bringing peace to the war and famine wracked Horn of Africa?
